The Roar of Silence
Matthew 6:6 - “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
It is for the night that my soul longs when the work is done and the people have retired.
It is on the vast, desolate beach where I am able to close the door and be alone.
It is there I walk upright and prostrate my heart before You Heavenly Father where none can see.
It is in the darkness of the night that I find Your resplendent light Christ.
It is in the deafening roar of the ocean that I find silence in Your Holy Spirit.
It is there I am but dust on the beach before Your magnificence.
It is in the roar of silence and solitude I seek You and only You, O Lord.
